Summer Wrap-Up

Tomorrow is my big boy's first day of school. Look out 1st grade here he comes!! This has a been a busy summer with t-ball and now football practice has started....By the way, there is NOTHING cuter than 5 and 6 year olds palying "real" football. I am one proud Wildcat Mom : )
I have gotten ALOT of projects done over the summer and can't wait to share them all with you. Here are some photos of furniture I have redone to sell at the vintage store where I am a dealer.

I have also been working on ALOT more flowers and hair accessories. You can check them out at my facebook page.

AND Last but NOT least. I found the BEST craigslist find EVER. I have been tearing the Pottery Barn farmhouse canopy bed out of the catalog for as long as I can remember. Well guess what?! I found it on craigslist for $300!!!

New items at Suzie Lou Lou

Today I spent the day making some new items for my etsy store. SO FUN!! I need to have a girls day soon so I can get them to be my models for my accessories. I have alot of hottie friends : ) that would be perfect for the job.....
I am finding it hard to get this etsy store started. I don't have any sales as of now. I don't know if that scares people away because there is no feedback... Who knows? I sell the heck out them at the dance studio by my house. If anyone has any tips, I am ready to hear them : )
New today:

So if any of you have had any luck with your etsy store, give me some pointers.....or if you want to model ; )

Baby boy!!

Today I am hosting a baby shower for my little sister. She is having a little boy named Mason : ) I have been enjoying decorating for it this week. Here is what I came up with..

Sorry this post is so short but I have to get ready for guests to arrive.

Easter Sunday and cake pops

I hope you all had a great Easter weekend. We sure did. Lots of time with family and friends and school parties...and boiled crawfish!! Love it!
Here are some pics of my cuties ready for church Sunday morning.

I already shared the peeps treat bags with you. Here is the other treats we made for the boys classes. I saw these cake pops on The Sweetest Pear. I had to try them!!

These things are seriously cute and fun to make! Not to mention a HIT in the kids classes. I will definitely be making them again this weekend for my sister's baby shower I am hosting. Lots of crafting going on for that. Pics will be posted : )

I will be linking up to Today's Creative Blog and Between Naps on the Porch and My Girlish Whims. Come join in fun! Where do you think I get all these ideas?!?!?!

Easter Fun!!

We actually had a day without anything on our schedule this evening!! We all went to dinner and came back to dye eggs for Brody's class and I made treats for both boy's classes for their Easter parties. You have to visit Eighteen25 for the free printable to make these:

I mean, seriously! These things are cuuuuute! I think the kids and teachers are going to LOVE them! They make me smile : )

And here are my silly boys with their dyed eggs...

My big boy's room...

My baby big boy Brody is almost through with kindergarten! How did this happen? When did he get to be so big?
My husband came home a few weeks ago with a new bed for him and I was pumped! ....Because it was free!!! He found it on the side of the road. I couldn't believe it! It was adorable. Primed and really muddy : ( Even though it was so dirty I still can't figure out why someone had this at the street. Oh well, their trash is our treasure.
Brody has always had a twin sized bed so this new find sparked a room redo for the "big boy"....Yay!
Here is a pic of the bed before I painted it:

I picked a few "big boy" bedding sets and let Brody choose the final selection. I think his exact words when he saw this one was "Cool, dude!" I went to Sears to see if they had it before I ordered it and didn't like the colors. They had it! And it was on sale for $59.99 for everything so I headed straight to the check out because that's a great deal, right? WRONG! The girl scanned it and the whole set was $29.99!!!!!! WOWZA!! I can't believe I got such a deal. The blue dresser and lamp were previously red but a few cans of spray paint for the dresser and an extra pillow case to cover the lamp and Ta-Da!
Here are the after pics of the room:

There are still lots of things to do in the room. Hardware on the blue dresser, wall decor, and a wooden dresser (checking craigslist often) for the wall at the foot of the bed.
Any suggestions for wall art would be appreciated.... : )
